Futureproof TMT is a small group of researchers and practitioners who have spent their careers close to how the internet is measured and monetized. The network begins with founder Shailin Dhar and grows as we bring on others who share that focus.
Shailin Dhar
Founder, Ad-Fraud Crusader & Verification Solutions Architect
For over a decade, Shailin Dhar has worked to expose and contain the influence of non-human traffic: the automated systems, bots, and synthetic agents that distort how the internet is measured and monetized.
He first gained attention in 2016 when his independent research helped quantify how much of the digital advertising economy was powered by fake activity, earning him the press moniker "the Ad-Fraud Crusader." In 2017, he invented and patented a GPU-rendering-based detection method that verifies whether a digital interaction was initiated by a real human.
That work became the foundation for his first start-up, Method Media Intelligence, and ultimately for Futureproof TMT. He is also writing Snowflakes in an Avalanche, documenting the spread of synthetic traffic and how industries can rebuild trust in online data.
